The Audition Process
Auditions are open to singers 18 years and above with solid solo or choral experience, especially those with chamber choir experience. Singers must be able to sight-read well, commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule for a minimum of one year, and support LACA's mission statement.
The audition should take no longer than 30 minutes (10 minutes for warm-up, 15 minutes in the audition room and 5 minutes for questions). A warm-up room is provided 10 minutes prior to each audition. An accompanist will be provided for the audition. Please remember to bring a copy of the music for the accompanist in the key in which the piece is to be performed. Memorization is preferred, but not required. Board members and staff will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about Los Angeles Choral Artists.
