Audition Requirements
Volunteer Singers
Our extremely talented volunteer base consists of singers with previous choral experience, solid reading skills, and excellent musicality. Although working in many diverse professions, many are pursuing or already have music degrees.
- One classical solo (oratorio or art song preferred) in English or a foreign language.
Please note that popular music is not acceptable. - Scales to determine tone quality and range
- Sight-reading
- Pitch memory drills
Professional Core
A professional core singer must have significant solo or choral experience, above-average reading skills, superior musicianship, and be a team player. Undergraduate music students are rarely considered for a professional position in Los Angeles Choral Artists.
