A Letter From the Artistic Director...

We have missed singing for you! As you know, Los Angeles Choral Artists was placed on hiatus while I completed my doctoral work in Choral Conducting and Musicology at the University of Arizona. Although it was a bit scary to pull up stakes and move to Arizona temporarily, I believe the completion of my doctorate will further enhance the artistic quality of Los Angeles Choral Artists.

A recent appointment to the music faculty at California State University, Los Angeles will bring me back home to LA. I am thrilled to announce that plans are now in the works for our 2008-09 concert season. The singers and I are excitedly awaiting our reunion in September as we prepare for our first concert for you, our loyal audience of supporters. Please check the website often for concert updates and online ticket ordering.

Those who have enjoyed our breathtaking performances in the past know that our music reaches deep into the human spirit and expresses, through the power of the human voice, what would otherwise be inexpressible. I would like to personally invite you to join us for this exciting season. The best is yet to come for Los Angeles Choral Artists – become part of the excitement.

I also encourage you to make a tax deductible donation in support of LACA, as we enhance the musical, educational, and cultural lives of our Los Angeles audience. Donations may easily be made by credit card on our website or by mail. Your contribution will make it possible for local middle and high school music students and their teachers to attend one of our concerts. This is a very exciting opportunity for these students and their teachers, but we need your help to make it happen. We simply cannot do it without you. Please give generously.

I look forward to seeing you at our concerts.
